The Federation of Mountaineering and Tourism Signed a Cooperation Agreement

In Kyrgyzstan, a historic agreement was signed between the Federation of Mountaineering and the Federation of Sports Tourism. This important event occurred thanks to the joint efforts of the leaders of the organizations — Eduard Kubatov and Vladimir Agafonov, who noted that this cooperation will open new horizons for the development of mountain sports and enhance safety in the mountains.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the sports community, instructors, rescue services, and tourism companies. All present emphasized that the unification of the two largest organizations will create a solid foundation for modernizing the training of athletes and guides, expanding tourist routes, and attracting investments in mountain infrastructure.

Main Areas of Joint Work

According to the agreement, the parties intend to:

organize large international expeditions and festivals in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan; build modern mountain shelters and training bases; launch training and certification courses for guides and rescuers; implement a unified system for training young climbers and developing youth sports; work together to enhance safety on routes and establish standards for mountain tours; strengthen Kyrgyzstan's image as one of the leading countries in mountain sports and ecotourism.

The organizers stated that the new partnership aims to:

strengthen the sports community; increase tourist flow; enhance safety levels; create new jobs; strengthen Kyrgyzstan's role as an international center for mountaineering.
