The company noted that the new equipment will enhance the reliability of high-voltage substations and improve the resilience of the entire energy system to emergency situations. There are also plans to modernize key nodes of the main electric networks.
Gas-insulated switchgear is used at substations for quick and safe disconnection during short circuits.
The tender is being conducted using an unrestricted method, and proposals will be accepted until March 2, 2026.
NESC intends to purchase 46 sets of these switches.
