An ambitious plan for the industrialization of the agricultural sector has been approved in Kyrgyzstan, which will be implemented in 2026. As part of the state strategy aimed at modernizing production processes and enhancing export capabilities, 75 new processing enterprises will open in the republic. The main focus will be on the deep processing of dairy, meat, and fruit and vegetable products. According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, 6 billion 203 million soms have been allocated for these purposes, with funding provided through private investments, state support in the form of preferential loans, and assistance from international organizations.
The planned productions will be located throughout the country, creating new jobs in rural areas. Naryn region will lead in the number of new enterprises, with 15 facilities opening there. Jalal-Abad region will receive 14 new productions, and Issyk-Kul will have 12. Osh and Batken regions will launch 9 facilities each, while Chui and Talas regions will get 8 new enterprises each.
The structure of the new productions covers almost all key segments of the agro-industrial complex. The project plans to create 14 workshops for processing vegetables and fruits, as well as 6 modern logistics centers with refrigerated warehouses. Additionally, 10 trade-logistics hubs and 10 slaughterhouses will be opened. The meat industry will see the establishment of 8 processing plants, 6 of which will specialize in poultry production. The opening of 8 new dairy enterprises is also expected.
In addition to traditional sectors, the 2026 program includes specialized productions: 5 plants for deep processing of wool, 5 flour and confectionery factories, 3 feed mills, as well as workshops for processing fish, honey, medicinal herbs, and rice. The launch of these facilities is aimed not only at saturating the domestic market with quality products but also at improving the competitiveness of the "Made in Kyrgyzstan" brand on the international stage.
