Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, has initiated the creation of a state program aimed at constructing modern warehouses with cold storage facilities. This initiative is designed to preserve the quality of vegetables and fruits, which, in turn, will allow for an increase in export volumes, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry.

According to the official, the implementation of this initiative will help address the issue of crop losses faced by farmers. Currently, due to a lack of specialized storage facilities, a significant portion of the produce is lost. The new warehouses will ensure the preservation of the harvest and create conditions for processing and access to international markets.

“The Ministry is ready to provide full support to farmers, agribusinesses, and processors in the construction of warehouses. Building facilities in accordance with international standards is a strategically important step that will enhance the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex and strengthen the country's food security,” noted Bakyt Torobaev.

The program includes comprehensive support for the agricultural sector and the creation of new jobs.

The project will be implemented through a public-private partnership mechanism with the involvement of investors.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry will provide full support for the project, including design, construction, operation, and certification of the facilities. Specialists from the ministry will also offer consultations on inventory management and the formation of logistics chains. As a result of the implementation of this project, farmers will be able to significantly increase their incomes and reduce financial losses, the ministry believes.
