During the meeting, the main focus was on the development of new regulatory acts, such as the Regulation on Direct Negotiations for Public-Private Partnerships and the Methodology for Assessing Budget Support. These documents are intended to improve the transparency of procedures and attract quality private investments into key national projects.
In addition, Meirimbek Koichumanov received information about the results of a technical workshop held the day before for representatives of government agencies. The workshop discussed important topics such as mechanisms for fiscal oversight and issues of institutional accountability in the implementation of PPP projects.
As a result of the discussions, participants confirmed their readiness for further cooperation between the National Investment Agency, the Public-Private Partnership Center, and the World Bank Group.
It should be noted that the meeting took place as part of the current World Bank mission in Kyrgyzstan, aimed at providing technical support to government agencies and improving the legislative framework in the field of public-private partnerships.
