It has been reported that tax and insurance contribution debts accumulated before 2022 are subject to write-off. This was stated by Kubanychbek Isabekov, Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, in an interview with "Birinchi Radio".
He clarified that changes to the Tax Code were made last year in accordance with a presidential decree. "The decision to write off taxes has been made: all debts incurred before 2022 will be annulled. However, it is important that no criminal cases have been initiated regarding these debts," noted Kubanychbek Isabekov. He also added that other types of debts could also be written off, even if there are already court decisions on them.
"The possibility of write-off also extends to other debts, even if there is a court decision," he added.
Kubanychbek Isabekov emphasized that the State Tax Service plans to clarify the application of the new norms in the regions. The agency intends to send a circular to all regions to ensure that the write-off process proceeds without excessive bureaucracy and strictly within the framework of the law. In addition, he noted that separate decisions on write-offs have already been made in some areas, including the export of livestock to Uzbekistan and the purchase of agricultural products without the necessary documents.
