The price of chicken eggs has decreased in Bishkek after the intervention of the State Anti-Monopoly Agency

In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the price of chicken eggs has started to decrease after the State Anti-Monopoly Agency sent official warnings to the Association of Poultry Farmers and the largest retail chains. Monitoring conducted on March 14 and 15 showed a real drop in prices both in major markets and in supermarkets.

It is worth noting that active measures to control prices began on March 11. As a result of these efforts, the minimum price for a dozen eggs at city markets is now 100 soms.

The current information on egg prices at various retail points is as follows:

Osh and Orto-Sai markets: from 100 to 165 soms per dozen;

Alamedin market: within 115–155 soms;

The fair at Old Square: prices range from 110 to 130 soms.

On average, buyers can find eggs in Bishkek priced from 120 to 135 soms per dozen.

Retail chains have also lowered their prices. In "Alma" stores, prices range from 110 to 155 soms, in "Globus" from 115 to 150 soms, the "Asia" chain offers prices from 119 to 146 soms, and in "Dostor" discount stores, a dozen eggs can be purchased for 120–132 soms.

The State Anti-Monopoly Agency notes that on average, one egg has become cheaper by 1–3 soms. Currently, the range of retail prices in the city has stabilized at 110–160 soms per dozen.
