The main factors contributing to the rise in prices for chicken eggs in Kyrgyzstan have been the planned vaccination of laying hens, the renewal of the flock, and the increase in feed prices. These issues were discussed at meetings with key market players that were organized to stabilize the situation.

According to information received from the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, representatives from the Poultry Farmers Association, major retail chains such as "Umai Group," "Asia Retail," "Borsok Invest," as well as the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry participated in the meetings.

Poultry farmers noted that vaccination leads to a decrease in bird productivity for up to 30 days. Moreover, seasonal factors, rising logistics and packaging costs, as well as the presence of intermediaries in the market, also affect the price of eggs.

In light of the simultaneous increase in wholesale prices from poultry enterprises, the antimonopoly service issued a warning to the Poultry Farmers Association, urging them to avoid restricting competition. Organizations were recommended to work with members and intermediaries, review their pricing policies, and ensure transparency in the formation of product prices.

It is worth noting that at the beginning of March, a rise in prices for chicken eggs was recorded in Kyrgyzstan, resulting in a dozen costing 160-170 soms in supermarkets.
