In the coming days, the establishment of an intensive orchard will begin on the prepared land. Out of 30 hectares, 15 will be allocated for apple plantations, while the remaining area is planned for the planting of Kokon cherry. An important feature of this approach is the monoculture of the plantings, which will allow agronomists to more easily adhere to agrotechnical standards, simplify tree care, and significantly increase final yields.
The location for the orchard has been chosen along the strategically important Bishkek–Osh highway, which will ensure accessibility for the general public and make it a visible example for farmers in the region. The relevant ministry emphasizes that such initiatives contribute to the popularization of agricultural innovations and the sustainable development of agriculture in the country. It is expected that the successful experience gained in the Toktogul District will serve as an incentive for private farms to transition to drip irrigation systems.
