Former employee of Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC appointed to the EEC authorities

Amanat Ishimov, who previously worked at Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC, is now the Deputy Director of the Department of Competition Policy and Public Procurement Policy at the Eurasian Economic Commission. This was announced in a press release from the EEC.

Ishimov, born in Bishkek in 1984, received education in several countries. In 2006, he graduated from the Faculty of International Relations at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, where he specialized in global economics, and also completed his bachelor's degree in the Netherlands at the University of Arnhem and Nijmegen, studying international logistics.

In 2007, he earned a master's degree in international business and management from Westminster University in the UK and subsequently defended his dissertation, becoming a candidate of economic sciences.

From 2007 to 2014, Ishimov worked in the diplomatic service, holding positions in the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Austria.

From 2014 to 2023, he was the head of the procurement training and execution department at Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC. In 2023-2025, he is expected to work as the operational director of an international company located in the United Arab Emirates.
