"Kyrgyzkomur" has begun preparations for the autumn-winter period of 2026-2027.

The Deputy General Director of the State Enterprise "Kyrgyzkomur," Rustam Sadyraliev, reported on the air of "Birinchi Radio" that five new coal deposits were opened in Kyrgyzstan last year, while in 2024 their number amounted to three.

According to Sadyraliev, about 30 licenses for coal extraction have been issued, which are granted based on decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Among the new deposits opened in the Batken region are Suluktu 11-talaa and Beshburkhan, in the Jalal-Abad region — Markay, in Naryn — Torugart, and in Osh — Kojo-Kelen. Specialists note the high quality of coal extracted from these sites.

The total estimated reserves of coal at the five new deposits amount to approximately 133 million tons, informed a representative of "Kyrgyzkomur."

He also emphasized that work is already actively underway to prepare for the autumn-winter period of 2026-2027.
