In Kyrgyzstan, an ambitious project in the field of milk processing is being launched, which could significantly impact the local market. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) is investing in the construction of a new plant, "Nukura Pro," based on the already operating enterprise "Ekoproduct Asia." The main goal of the project is to completely replace imported supplies and offer Kyrgyz citizens high-quality dairy products at competitive prices. According to preliminary estimates, local milk will be on average 30% cheaper than imported analogs.
Artem Novikov, Chairman of the Board of RKDF, emphasized the importance of this project. "The Fund has invested over 5.5 million dollars in the new project, and the total financing volume is approaching 10 million US dollars. The launch of the new production is expected in August of this year, which will allow us to meet up to 25% of the country's needs through local production and increase exports to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union," he stated.
The plant will be equipped with modern equipment, which will significantly extend the shelf life of pasteurized milk to 28 days. Tetra Pak packaging will ensure that ultra-pasteurized products maintain freshness for up to nine months, opening new opportunities for large-scale exports. The production capacity of the plant will reach up to 1000 tons of milk and 100 tons of cream per month.
The project will also have a positive impact on the agricultural sector of the Chui region. It is estimated that up to 1000 farms will be involved in the supply chain, and around 70 new jobs will be created at the plant. This initiative aligns with the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2030, which focuses on increasing export potential and developing the processing industry. Official data from RKDF confirms that the launch of the new facilities is scheduled for the end of this summer.
