The National Academy "Manas", in collaboration with the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn and the Institute of Literature named after Ch. Aitmatov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, organized an international scientific and practical conference on December 2, dedicated to the theme "Kyrgyz Statehood and the Phenomenon of Manas." According to the academy, among the participants of the conference were the State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Republic Arslan Koichiev, presidential advisor Marat Imankulov, president of the National Academy "Manas" Nazira Aaly kyzy, academician Abdildaжан Akmataliev, rector of KNU Dogdurbek Chontoев, as well as representatives of the scientific and cultural community of Kyrgyzstan, foreign scholars, Manas experts, students, and researchers.
The main task of the conference was to examine the historical development of Kyrgyz statehood and the epic "Manas" as its cultural and ideological foundation from new scientific perspectives.
Participants presented various reports on topics related to national identity, spiritual heritage, modern concepts of statehood, and the role of the epic "Manas" in world culture, followed by in-depth discussions.
"The conference was recognized as an important event that contributes to the scientific rethinking of the epic 'Manas,' strengthening international cooperation, and popularizing Kyrgyz spiritual heritage on the world stage," the press release states.
