The meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan was held under the leadership of the chairman — Adylbek Kasymaliev, where aspects of the implementation of the Law "On the Special Financial Investment Territory 'Tamchy'" with a unique legal status were discussed.
This law was adopted in accordance with the presidential decree on the establishment of a special investment zone in the Issyk-Kul region, where an independent international center for dispute resolution based on English law will operate. To effectively implement this law, a roadmap for the preparation of the necessary subordinate legislation was approved.
During the meeting, participants analyzed ways to accelerate the implementation of the law, discussed existing difficulties, and jointly developed strategies to overcome them. Following the meeting, instructions were given to the relevant state authorities.
Justice Minister Ayaz Bayetov, along with experts in English law, presented a presentation dedicated to the establishment of an independent international dispute resolution center in Kyrgyzstan. During the discussion, its goals, functioning mechanisms, and development prospects were considered.
The idea of creating the special financial investment zone 'Tamchy' is aimed at attracting investments to Kyrgyzstan and creating optimal legal, financial, and institutional conditions for the operation of both local and foreign investors. This project is considered an important step towards forming a modern investment infrastructure in the country.
