The Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mirbek Mambetaliev, announced a significant 100% increase in the salaries of cultural sector workers. This statement was made during the IV People's Kurultai and became known to the "Kabar" agency.
According to Mambetaliev, the initiative to raise the salaries of cultural workers was voiced by President Sadyr Japarov. "Previously, representatives of this sector received between 20,000 and 25,000 soms, and now their salaries will increase to 40,000-50,000 soms. Additionally, we will also raise the salaries of technical staff, which previously amounted to about 10,000 soms. This is a wonderful initiative, and we express our gratitude to the president," the minister noted.
Furthermore, on the day of the personal reception of delegates on December 24, the ministry received 91 appeals, most of which concerned the capital repair and reconstruction of culture houses and clubs. "We will strive to address these issues step by step," Mambetaliev added.
