These changes were approved by the deputies at a session of the city council held on Friday, December 26.
As noted, the new tariffs will help finance the development of water management: the company "Manas Vodokanal" plans to expand the water supply and sewage infrastructure in new areas, as well as install water meters and other necessary systems.
Currently, the cost of 1 cubic meter of drinking water is 12 som 90 tyiyn, while 1 cubic meter of wastewater is 8 som 60 tyiyn. Under the new tariffs, the price for drinking water will increase to 15 som 48 tyiyn, and for wastewater to 10 som 32 tyiyn.
In the private sector of the city, almost all houses are equipped with water meters. However, in 4- and 5-story apartment buildings, water meters have not yet been installed, and charges are calculated based on a norm of 133 som per person. This year, it is planned to complete the installation of water meters in approximately 230 apartment buildings.
- The company "Manas Vodokanal" serves over 36,000 subscribers. To ensure the water supply of the city, 65 wells are in operation, from which water is drawn from a depth of 140–160 meters. The annual budget of the enterprise is approximately 190 million som.
