Daiyrbek Orunbekov, who heads the presidential information policy service, commented on social media regarding the statements made by deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh about the reconstruction of the Botanical Garden in Bishkek and the discussion of the draft law on state awards.

He reminded that the president had previously urged deputies to avoid "demagoguery and populism."

According to Orunbekov, deputy Dastan Bekeshev expressed dissatisfaction with the construction of football fields in the Botanical Garden, pointing out that this area should serve as a place for relaxation and walks, and that there are already enough sports facilities in the city.

In response, Orunbekov noted that the Botanical Garden was previously in a neglected state: trees were drying out, the irrigation system was not functioning, lighting was insufficient, and crimes were taking place.

He emphasized that currently, at the president's request, reconstruction is underway: walkways for strolling and jogging are being created, new lighting and surveillance systems are being installed, and an 8.5 km bike path is being laid out. Additionally, three wells have been drilled, from which water has been obtained at a depth of 270 meters, and a drip irrigation system is being implemented, along with the restoration and cultivation of plants. The complete renewal of the fencing around the Botanical Garden, covering an area of 147 hectares, has also been completed.

Orunbekov added that at the request of local residents, a sports area for active recreation, including a mini-football field, is being created in the territory where trees previously did not grow. This space will be used by the youth, and the funds generated from its operation will be directed towards the maintenance of the garden.

He reported that the work is planned to be completed by the summer season, which will allow for a comparison of the current state with how everything looked before.

In addition to this, Orunbekov commented on the words of deputy Kamila Talieva regarding the draft law on state awards. He noted that the deputy criticized the inclusion of the title "Kemenger" in the document, but there is no such provision in the official version of the draft law.

He clarified that the draft law was presented to the Jogorku Kenesh on December 17, 2025, and urged Talieva to carefully review its text.

At the same time, he added that the issues of merging titles such as "People's Poet" and "People's Writer" may still be discussed and clarified during the parliamentary process.
