Yulia Tymoshenko, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine and head of the "Batkivshchyna" faction in the Verkhovna Rada, has come under suspicion of bribing deputies to influence their voting. This has been reported by Ukrainian media, specifying that she has been served with a relevant notification.

Olga Postolyuk, a representative of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, stated that the investigation has sufficient evidence to notify Tymoshenko of the suspicion. Additionally, anti-corruption authorities are checking around 20 members of parliament from other factions for their possible involvement in corruption schemes related to voting on certain laws.

Tymoshenko rejected the accusations against her and called the situation a "political persecution." She also reported that searches were conducted in her party's office.

On her Facebook page, she mentioned that the investigative actions lasted all night. "They found nothing, so they just took my work phones, parliamentary documents, and personal savings, the information about which is fully indicated in the official declaration," she noted.

Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the All-Ukrainian Union "Batkivshchyna," served as Prime Minister of Ukraine in 2005 and again from 2007 to 2010. In 2004, she was one of the organizers and leaders of the "Orange Revolution" in collaboration with Viktor Yushchenko. She ran for the presidency of Ukraine three times: in 2010, 2014, and 2019.

During Viktor Yanukovych's presidency, several criminal cases were initiated against Tymoshenko. In August 2011, she was arrested, and in October of the same year, she was sentenced to seven years for exceeding her authority in connection with gas contracts with Russia signed in January 2009. She was released in February 2014 during the events on Maidan.
