The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on Solovyov's words about Venezuela and Armenia

“This is a personal opinion”

Maria Zakharova, a representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commented on the recent statements made by TV host Vladimir Solovyov regarding international law, the USA, Venezuela, and Armenia. This was reported by the RBC agency.
According to Zakharova, Solovyov's remarks should be viewed as his personal opinion rather than the official position of Russia. “He raised a question that should not provoke manipulation. Russia has strong ties with the countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia, based on the principles of good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance,” she noted.
It is worth recalling that on air, Solovyov mentioned the likelihood of a special military operation in Russia's spheres of influence, similar to what is happening in Venezuela from the USA's side. The reaction to this was the summoning of the Russian ambassador in Armenia for explanations, as well as a proposal from the Kyrgyz authorities to declare Solovyov a persona non grata.
Let us also remind that recently the USA carried out a military operation in Caracas, during which the President of Venezuela and his wife were taken to America for trial.
