Zakhrova: Russia's relations with the CIS countries are built on good neighborliness and trust

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, commented during her briefing on Moscow's policy towards the CIS states. She urged the public to rely on official statements and to "judge by actions," warning against believing in rumors and manipulations, TASS reports.

Zakharova emphasized that Russia's position is formulated only by authorized representatives, adding that Moscow consistently adheres to a course of good neighborly relations, strategic partnership, and alliance with the countries of Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

Furthermore, she noted that Russia actively confirms this approach through ongoing dialogue within the CIS and CSTO, as well as specific actions aimed at supporting its partners. Commenting on the opinions of some journalists, Zakharova pointed out the unacceptability of presenting their statements as Russia's official position, calling it part of information manipulations and provocations.
