The Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Marat Tagaev, announced plans to create a film based on the historical novel "Syngan Kylch," written by Tologon Kasymbekov.

According to Tagaev, the National Council has approved the launch of the project to adapt this famous work. It is expected that the script will be completed and the project budget approved by 2026.

The renowned playwright and people's writer Sultan Raev has agreed to write the script for the film.

Shooting is planned to begin at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027, with a full production start scheduled for 2028.

Marat Tagaev also reported on government support for directors whose works have been awarded at international festivals. He noted that filmmakers can freely choose the themes for their films. For example, director Aktan Arym Kubat plans to adapt the story "Ajar" by Kasymala Bayalinov, with filming also set to start at the end of 2026.

Additionally, the Ministry of Culture is working on scripts reflecting important historical events from 1842 to 1846. In the future, there are plans to continue creating quality historical films that will preserve national heritage and resonate with audiences.
