A deputy proposed to impose restrictions on car towing
Dastan Bekeshev, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, shared information on social media about the rapid growth of the car towing business, which is generating significant profits.
He expressed the opinion that there is a need to introduce restrictions on the cases when towing vehicles can be justified.
“Currently, there is no such system. The business is thriving, as the cost of the service is 1,600 soms for towing a distance of 3 to 7 kilometers. At the same time, there is a risk of damaging the car, and no one is held accountable for this. Towing should only be carried out in exceptional situations when a fine is ineffective, for example, when a car seriously obstructs the work of emergency services or is parked in a prohibited area,” Bekeshev noted.
