Deputy expressed concern about the duration of training
Deputy Dastan Bekeshev in the Jogorku Kenesh noted that the youth of Kyrgyzstan may start leaving for Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan to obtain driver's licenses.
He emphasized that the new training periods for obtaining category B (10 months) and C (12 months) licenses are excessive and may negatively affect both those wishing to obtain licenses and the operation of driving schools.
Bekeshev stated: "Our young citizens express dissatisfaction with the duration of the process. In other countries, this period is about three months. If we train our citizens for 10-12 months, many of them may prefer to go abroad for training."
This statement was responded to by Tynychbek Saidov, the director of the State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Drivers under the Presidential Administration, who noted that the new standards were approved by the Ministry of Education.
