Dastan Bekeshev claims that young people from Kyrgyzstan may start moving to neighboring countries to obtain driver's licenses.

According to recently introduced regulations, the training process for category B drivers will now take 10 months, while for category C, it will take a full 12 months.

In the deputy's opinion, such a duration is excessively long and may lead to negative consequences.

Bekeshev noted: "Many young citizens report that this is too long. In other countries, training takes only three months. If we keep our youth in training for 10-12 months, they will prefer to go to Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan. As a result, we are supporting the development of tourism in neighboring countries," he emphasized.

Tynychbek Saidov, the director of the State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Training, explained that the new standards were approved by the Ministry of Education.

According to him, "The Ministry of Education previously approved the norms for training for category B and C licenses. Training for category B is allocated 10 months, and for category C — 12 months. A curriculum is currently being developed, which will outline the number of theoretical and practical hours," he added.

"This is the wrong approach. The unemployment rate among youth will rise. Everything is heading in that direction. Ultimately, the youth will express their dissatisfaction," Bekeshev concluded.
