The deputy expressed the opinion that the deprivation of rights may lead to a loss of income for families
While discussing amendments related to tightening penalties for driving under the influence, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Uluqbek Karybek Uulu expressed his concerns that the period of deprivation of driver's rights, which ranges from 1 to 12 years, could negatively affect the financial situation of families, especially in rural areas.
In his opinion, such measures could have serious social consequences.
In response, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktobyr Urmambetov noted that he understands the potential impact of these measures on family budgets; however, the main priority is safety and the protection of human life.
He added that every driver must be aware of their responsibility for driving under the influence of alcohol, as irresponsible behavior on the road can lead to tragic consequences, including death and disability of individuals.
