In his speech, Deputy Bolot Ibragimov emphasized the need for the implementation of additional accountability measures for those who violate traffic rules.

He stated: "Driving under the influence of alcohol is a crime, and it is time to confirm this not only with words but also through amendments to legislation. In addition to the existing measures, a monetary fine should be introduced, which should increase with repeated violations. Voters also suggest involving such offenders in community service," Ibragimov added.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktobyr Urmambetov noted that these proposals are already under discussion.

Furthermore, the deputy proposed to increase the bonuses for inspectors who record violations.

“The current 10% of the fine amount as a reward for employees is insufficient. This percentage needs to be raised. As a result, the number of drunk drivers can be significantly reduced in Bishkek and throughout Kyrgyzstan,” he pointed out.

Urmambetov agreed with the expressed opinion.

“Yes, currently we allocate 10%, but that is not the limit. We will prepare the relevant proposals for discussion in parliament,” added the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
