In Kyrgyzstan, 12,124 cases of ARVI and influenza were registered in a week

From January 5 to 12, Kyrgyzstan registered 12,124 cases of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and influenza, according to information presented by Sultan Suranbaev, a doctor from the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Department, on "Birinchi Radio."

According to him, this is a 27% increase compared to the previous week.

Suranbaev noted that various viruses are being recorded, including rhinovirus, adenovirus, parainfluenza, and others. Among the registered cases, there are also instances of influenza, primarily influenza A virus; however, cases of influenza B are recorded as well, but they are much rarer.

The specialist added that statistical data is collected monthly, and the situation is analyzed weekly, in addition to ongoing epidemiological monitoring.
