Over the past two days, nine people with injuries related to icy conditions have sought help at the Bishkek Clinical Emergency Hospital. This information was announced by the deputy chief physician Ilim Manapov on January 19 during a broadcast on "Birinchi Radio".

Of the injured, seven received outpatient care, while two were hospitalized. The injuries were mainly sustained by 4-5 individuals who were skiing, and two fell on the street.

Manapov noted that the winter season, especially during the holidays, attracts people to engage in active recreation in the mountains and skiing, which consequently leads to injuries. He also added that this year there has been less precipitation, resulting in a decrease in the number of injured compared to previous years.

During the holidays, there were several cases, but overall, the numbers were not that high. Most often, patients came in with injuries sustained during active winter activities.

According to the doctor, the informational campaign being conducted among the population is yielding results. If last year during the winter period more than 500-600 people sought help at the hospital, this year the figures have significantly decreased.
