According to the Department of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, the total number of people affected by the poisoning at the fast food restaurant "Daamduu" has increased to 17, including 4 children.

The incident occurred on January 15. Currently, 13 people are hospitalized, while 4 are receiving outpatient treatment. The Department noted that all affected individuals received the necessary medical assistance, and clinical samples were sent for laboratory testing.

According to epidemiological data, all affected individuals consumed shawarma purchased at "Daamduu" on the same day. The first signs of poisoning appeared at different times of the day.

Specialists from the Bishkek Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance conducted an unscheduled inspection of the establishment. Samples of ingredients, swabs from equipment, and leftovers of prepared food were taken, and the staff was examined for intestinal infections.

As a result of the inspection, three protocols were drawn up for identified violations, and fines totaling 41,000 soms were imposed on the establishment. The management was issued a sanitary order to close the fast food restaurant starting January 15, and the premises were sealed.

The investigation is ongoing, and new information will be published after the laboratory analysis results are received.

The Department urges entrepreneurs to comply with sanitary regulations and citizens to purchase food only from licensed establishments and to seek medical attention immediately if symptoms of poisoning appear.
