Jalil Sheyshenov Appointed Director of the Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation

The Ministry of Health has announced the appointment of Jalil Sheishenov as the head of the Scientific Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation.

Previously, this position was held by Samidin Shabyraliev, who was relieved of his duties due to identified violations in his work.

Jalil Orozobekovich Sheishenov, born in 1975, received his medical education at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev, completing his studies in the specialty of "General Medicine" in 1999. From 1999 to 2002, he underwent clinical residency in cardiovascular surgery at the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy.

From 2002 to 2007, Sheishenov worked as a cardiac surgeon in the department of acquired heart defects at the Scientific Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation.

Then, from 2007 to 2021, he held the position of head of the cardiac surgery department at the Scientific Clinical Center for Cardiac Surgery and Transplantology in Taraz (Kazakhstan). In the following two years, he worked as the deputy director of the center for medical work.

From 2023 until January 2026, Sheishenov served as the chief physician of the Scientific Clinical Center "Bishkek Cardio".

In 2012, he successfully defended his dissertation and became a candidate of medical sciences at the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation. Sheishenov is the author of four patents, as well as more than 40 scientific articles and 12 reports at international conferences.

From 2010 to 2023, he worked as the chief specialist in cardiac surgery and an independent expert in the healthcare management of the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan. He is also a member of such professional scientific societies as EACTS and EAACTS.

His main areas of professional activity include surgery for congenital heart defects and minimally invasive cardiac surgery. For many years, he has been actively engaged in organizational and methodological work with primary care physicians, conducting consultations using air ambulance services and telemedicine.

Throughout his career in Kazakhstan, Sheishenov has been awarded honorary certificates from the Ministry of Health and received the badge "Excellence in Healthcare".
