During a meeting of the Housing Committee on labor, health, women's affairs, and social issues, the chairman of the FOMS, Azamat Mukhanov, reported that Kyrgyzstan has filed a lawsuit with the EAEU court regarding mandatory health insurance for labor migrants.

Deputy Gulnara Baatyrova emphasized the importance of simplifying the process of obtaining health insurance policies for labor migrants within the EAEU.

In response, Mukhanov stated that work in this direction is ongoing. "Last week, a meeting took place, and the results are expected in two weeks. Kyrgyzstan initiated legal proceedings because Russia is not complying with agreements within the EAEU. Health insurance should also extend to the family members of labor migrants. This issue was also discussed during the visit of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Alexey Overchuk," he noted.

Baatyrova added that there are no longer issues with citizens who have labor contracts. "The Ministry of Social Development receives requests from citizens who have suffered in the workplace, for example, those who have been injured or fallen from heights. Joint cooperation is necessary in this area," she concluded.
