According to information announced on January 29 on "Birinchi Radio" by the President of the Dental Association of the Kyrgyz Republic, Abibilla Kalbaev, the level of dental caries among children in Kyrgyzstan ranges from 93% to 97%. A similar situation is observed among the adult population.

Kalbaev noted that caries continues to be the most common dental disease in the country. Periodontitis ranks second, affecting about 80% of the population, primarily adults, although this disease also occurs in children, but less frequently.

According to Kalbaev, the dental service in Kyrgyzstan faces both successes and challenges; however, in recent years, the focus has been on the prevention of dental diseases.
