Health Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov held a meeting with narcologist and professor Zhenishbek Nazaraliev, where they discussed issues related to the development of the state system for the rehabilitation of drug addicts.
According to the minister, the increase in the consumption of synthetic drugs, especially among young people, poses a serious threat to national security. In this regard, the Ministry of Health plans to intensify preventive and rehabilitation activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Education, including information campaigns in educational institutions.
The state rehabilitation center for drug addicts is planned to be organized based on the post-stroke rehabilitation center in the village of Dachnoye. During this time, patients who have undergone treatment after a stroke will be referred for rehabilitation to the Research Institute of Resortology and Rehabilitation located in the village of Vorontsovka.
The minister emphasized the inadmissibility of the functioning of illegal rehabilitation institutions and highlighted the importance of creating a transparent state assistance system. In this regard, a plan of activities is being developed within the framework of the anti-drug program for the next five years.
Zhenishbek Nazaraliev expressed his readiness to provide methodological assistance to the Ministry of Health and to involve specialists with practical experience to work in the new center.
