The Kyrgyz Football Union (KFS) has announced the launch of a new project for the construction of the "Mürök" rehabilitation center, which will focus on sports medicine.
This center will be the first of its kind in the country, aimed at supporting professional athletes and national teams. Construction work is planned in the Lenin district of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek.
The main goal of the project is to create a modern sports medical rehabilitation complex that meets international standards. According to KFS representatives, this center will provide Kyrgyz and foreign athletes with the opportunity to undergo comprehensive medical examinations, treatment, and rehabilitation. The project aims to maintain the health of athletes, extend their sports careers, and increase the competitiveness of Kyrgyz sports.
Furthermore, this project will serve as a powerful impetus for the development of sports medical infrastructure and the implementation of scientific and educational initiatives in this field.
The project includes the construction of a medical rehabilitation complex equipped with modern equipment. Inside the center, there will be laboratories, a gym, a swimming pool, as well as offices for physiotherapy and diagnostics. An important aspect will be the provision of continuous medical support for both professional and youth teams, as well as programs for injury prevention and functional recovery.
The "Mürök" rehabilitation center will be the first in Kyrgyzstan to meet the standards of FIFA and the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS). Athletes here will be able to go through the entire cycle—from diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitation and return to sports.
The completion of construction is planned for 2026.
