Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva pointed out that the republican budget for 2025 allocated 18 million 381 thousand soms for combating epidemiological threats and inquired how this money was utilized.
In response, Sydygaliev stated that the unused funds are planned to be directed towards activities in 2026, with the support of the president, adding that new sensitive cameras are being installed at the borders and funds are arriving. "Everything will be used," he assured.
Sadyrbaeva expressed surprise: "How is this possible? You claim that half of the funds were not used while the situation with epidemics was serious, and children were in the corridors of hospitals. Is this normal?"
Minister of Health Kanibek Dosmambetov confirmed that the situation was indeed difficult, especially regarding the provision of medications. "We received supplies at 'Kyrgyzpharmacia', but the medicines that were supposed to arrive in 2025 were only ordered at the end of the year. All needs will be met in the first quarter of 2026," he explained.
Sadyrbaeva emphasized that leaving unused funds in such a situation is wrong when the population is suffering: "Epidemics in the future can negatively affect the health of citizens. Moreover, you have excluded this item from the budget for 2026. Will we not have more epidemics? I request a written response regarding the reasons for excluding this item," she added, noting that the non-utilization of funds from the epidemiological fund is unacceptable.
