These funds have doubled compared to 2021, when the funding was 26 billion soms, and this does not include funds for the construction of new medical institutions and facilities that are still under construction.
Baisalov noted that primary healthcare continues to strengthen as the foundation of the entire healthcare system. New screening programs are also being implemented: last year, prenatal screening was launched, and now neonatal screening is being introduced.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, 10 new medical institutions were built last year, and the construction of 32 major facilities is currently ongoing, including perinatal centers and the National Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics.
