The issued documents will have the same legal force as traditional stamped death certificates. These innovations are enshrined in a government resolution, according to information from the Ministry of Justice.
In addition, by June 1, 2026, a module for a "Unified Electronic Register of Services Related to Burial" will be created within the information system "Unified Electronic Archive of Civil Registry Offices," as well as a mobile application for its use.
In Tashkent, from July 1 to December 31, 2026, an experimental procedure for organizing services related to burial will be implemented. During this period:
- permission for burial can only be obtained through the electronic module or mobile application provided by cemetery managers;
- traditional paper accounting of services at cemeteries will be abolished.
