A report of a possible poisoning was received by the center, indicating that people were in their homes, including traditional dwellings known as gers, when the incident occurred.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the cause of the poisoning may have been smoke leakage from chimneys.

The housing problem remains one of the most pressing issues in Mongolia, especially in Ulaanbaatar, where more than half of the country's population, totaling 3.5 million people, is concentrated.

The lion's share of the capital's residents live in yurt districts, where amenities such as running water, central heating, and sewage systems are absent.
