According to information published by The Wall Street Journal, a senior U.S. administration official noted that the negotiations addressed not only the timing of elections in Ukraine but also potential territorial concessions from Kyiv, as well as other important issues on which consensus has yet to be reached.
CNN, citing a source close to the negotiations, reports that the discussions were held in a "tough but constructive" atmosphere and covered "some of the most sensitive topics" necessary for ending the conflict. The AFP agency adds that a Ukrainian source described the negotiations as "challenging," emphasizing that "the search for wording and solutions continues," but at the same time, they were characterized as "constructive."
