The rapid growth of the country's mining product exports has contributed to the improvement of the balance of payments and an increase in foreign trade, which, in turn, has strengthened the inflow of foreign currency into the banking system.

As a result of the upgrade of Mongolia's credit rating and the creation of favorable conditions for attracting external financing, the country's foreign currency reserves reached a historic high of $6,014.20 million as of December 2, 2025.

This growth in foreign currency reserves plays an important role in strengthening the stability of financial markets and the domestic economy, as well as in maintaining the exchange rate of the tugrik, which is one of the main tasks of the Central Bank.

In addition, the government of Mongolia is taking steps to stimulate the economy, including increasing exports, simplifying trade procedures, and combating corruption.
