
Podolyak emphasized that it is the Central Election Commission and the working group of the Verkhovna Rada that should calculate the financial costs for the elections. “It is not our task to provide funding for the elections. Given our budget deficit, this is impossible,” he noted.
He added that the priority areas of the budget at the moment are focused on militarization and social programs aimed at supporting households affected by economic difficulties.
Earlier, Podolyak also pointed out that to hold presidential elections, the country will need both a ceasefire and financial resources.
