
In his address, Zelensky posed the question: “What does Ukraine really want?” and immediately answered: “We strive for peace, but not at any cost. We wish for the war to end, but not at the expense of Ukraine's existence. Yes, we are tired. But that does not mean we are ready to capitulate. Those who think so are mistaken.”
The president also noted that over the past year, he managed, albeit with great effort, to convey to U.S. President Donald Trump the importance of Ukraine. “We defended our right to a voice, and now everyone sees that Ukraine respects itself, and accordingly, we are respected,” Zelensky added.
