In this context, the government of Mongolia has decided to implement the project "Strengthening Resilience to Natural Disasters in Mongolia," which will be launched this year. To this end, on November 4, 2025, a framework financing program was presented to the Asian Development Bank, which received approval from the Great State Khural in December.
The planned project, with a total budget of $100 million, aims to increase the number of vehicles, specialized equipment, and tools for conducting search and rescue and recovery operations. The meeting emphasized that the initiative will also contribute to enhancing the readiness and capacity of local authorities and communities to respond to natural disasters.
Despite the continuous increase in the number of natural disasters and emergencies, the General Emergency Management Agency successfully fulfills its core tasks, including disaster prevention, saving lives, responding to incidents, and eliminating their consequences. In 2025, the agency achieved its annual goals and received an "A" rating, demonstrating an efficiency level of 94.1 percent in the overall assessment of its operational activities.
