As reported by The Guardian, Trump stated that starting from February 1, a 10% tariff will be applied to all goods exported from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Finland to the USA. Furthermore, beginning June 1, this tariff will increase to 25%.

The President of the United States noted: "For many years, we have funded Denmark and other European Union countries without charging them tariffs. Now, it is time for Denmark to pay us back, as peace around the world is at stake!" - he wrote on his social media account Truth Social.

Trump also added that "the tariff will remain in place until a complete and unconditional agreement on the purchase of Greenland is reached."

Additionally, he once again expressed concern that "China and Russia are trying to acquire Greenland," emphasizing that "Denmark cannot stop this."

It is worth recalling that previously Trump had already threatened to impose tariffs on goods from countries opposing his plans to control Greenland, claiming that the island is "critically important for our national security."
