
On January 26, 2026, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Amartuvshin Gombosuren, met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia, Choi Jin-won. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its official Facebook page.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Gombosuren emphasized the importance of deepening the "strategic partnership" between Mongolia and Korea at all levels. The parties discussed issues related to accelerating mutual visits, joint projects and programs planned for implementation this year, as well as improving conditions for travel between citizens.
Ambassador Choi Jin-won, for his part, noted that he is actively working to expand relations and cooperation between the two countries. He emphasized that mutual visits play a key role in strengthening trust, the practical content of economic cooperation, and friendship between the peoples of Mongolia and the Republic of Korea.
