Since December 8, 2025, the Mongolian National Information Agency MONTSAME has started publishing news in Korean, thereby expanding its language capabilities, which already included Mongolian (in both Cyrillic and traditional script), English, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian.

On November 28, 2025, the director general of the MONTSAME agency, Enkh-Orshikh Khurelee, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Choi Jin-won, which laid the foundation for the establishment of a Korean-language editorial office.

Now the MONTSAME agency's website, www.montsame.mn, in addition to news in existing languages, also offers Korean materials.

The creation of the Korean-language editorial office became possible thanks to active discussions in recent years and the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Mongolia, timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Republic of Korea was the first to establish diplomatic relations with Mongolia after the latter transitioned to a market economy and opened international ties in 1990. The new Korean-language editorial office of the MONTSAME magazine will serve as an important tool for deepening economic and political relations between the two states and will contribute to strengthening mutual understanding between their peoples.

The agency also publishes a number of printed editions, including the weekly newspapers "Хумуун Бичиг" (in traditional Mongolian script), "猛谷小喜寶" (in Chinese), "モンゴル通信" (in Japanese), "The Mongol Messenger" (in English), and "Новости Монголии" (in Russian), as well as a quarterly magazine in English titled "Mongolia Today".
