
The Minister of Health of Mongolia, Chinburen Jigjiduren, is on an official visit to South Korea from January 28 to 30, 2026. During this trip, the minister is participating in events held by the National Health Insurance Service and the Medical Insurance Evaluation and Inspection Service of this country. He published information about this on his Facebook page, sharing his plans.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held with Lee Hyun-hoon, the Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea, where the prospects for further cooperation between the countries were discussed.

During the negotiations, the parties outlined the main areas of bilateral cooperation in healthcare. One of the key decisions was to resume the annual advisory meeting of ministers, which will take place in March in Seoul. Important issues regarding the support of Mongolian citizens receiving medical services in South Korea were also discussed. Specific measures that need to be implemented were agreed upon.
Given the growing number of Mongolian citizens seeking medical assistance in South Korea, emphasis was placed on the need for closer cooperation. Discussions also raised questions about expanding the participation of Mongolian doctors in various educational programs, as well as the supply of quality medicines and medical equipment.
