The Minister of Health, Chinburen Zhigjidsuren, visited the Children's Consultative Polyclinic of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health (NCMCH) on December 10, 2025.
In 1949, the school outpatient clinic of the NCMCH was expanded and renamed the Children's Polyclinic Center. Thus, since 1987, the clinic has been operating at its current location, occupying a total area of 1100 m², and it has three departments: outpatient, diagnostic, and radiological. There were many difficulties in providing medical services in these departments. Now, a new Children's Consultative Polyclinic with an area of 3830 m² is located here. Additionally, the three existing departments have been expanded to 12, increasing fourfold.
According to the Ministry of Health, the polyclinic serves between 1000 and 1200 children daily, mainly regarding common pediatric diseases, including neurological, cardiological, and otorhinolaryngological issues.
During flu seasons, the number of patients in clinics treating respiratory and digestive diseases significantly increases, and the total number of visits nearly doubles during school holidays.
The director of the polyclinic, Naranatsatsral Erdenebileg, reported on preparations to expand the range of services and increase the number of staff during peak periods.
Currently, the clinic offers 14 types of outpatient consultations and 12 types of diagnostic services. Additionally, renovation work is ongoing, and the opening of a day surgery department is planned for 2026.

September 2025 marked the opening of a six-story extension to the Children's Consultative Polyclinic, which now provides comprehensive specialized outpatient and diagnostic services for children up to 18 years old.
