
The Western District Military Court will hold a closed hearing on February 16 regarding the criminal case of the terrorist attack at 'Krokus City Hall'. The victims' lawyer, Lyudmila Aivar, will demand the maximum punishment for all 19 defendants, including life imprisonment.
“We will insist on strict and fair punishment for all those involved in the terrorist attack, including the perpetrators. We will seek the application of all prescribed sanctions, up to life imprisonment,” noted Lyudmila Aivar in a comment to TASS.
Among the accused are four direct perpetrators of the attack, who have admitted their guilt. The other defendants are accused of organizing the terrorist act or assisting terrorist activities. The prosecution will present its demands to the court during the hearing on February 16.
The terrorist attack at 'Krokus City Hall' occurred on March 22, 2024, in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region. Four men opened fire on people and then set the building on fire. As a result of the tragedy, 149 people died, three went missing, and 609 were injured.
