The Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office reported the detention of more than a hundred suspects in terrorist activities, among whom are individuals planning attacks on New Year's Eve.

“Arrest warrants were issued for 115 suspects. During an operation conducted on Tuesday night at 114 addresses, 110 people were detained. <…> Among those on the wanted list are 41 suspects with connections to the terrorists who carried out the attack in Yalova, and who were preparing similar attacks in Istanbul for New Year's, as well as 13 individuals maintaining contacts with terrorist groups,” the prosecutor's office press service reported.

Additionally, among those arrested were individuals connected to a "teacher" who conducted illegal classes in a mosque and called for violence, as well as those who collected funds for terrorists in Syria and actively supported militants on social media.

Recently, during a police operation in Yalova, six supporters of the "Islamic State" were neutralized. As a result of the confrontation, three law enforcement officers were killed, and eight were injured. The operation lasted nearly eight hours, during which five suspects were detained.

Last week, the Turkish National Intelligence Organization arrested an ISIS* militant who was also preparing a terrorist attack for New Year's. In total, the Istanbul prosecutor's office issued arrest warrants for 137 suspects.
